CCS Teacher Technology Survey

Teachers,

As we continue working on the ACSI action plan, one of the areas of focus is the school's technology plan.  We have been gathering information from CCS parents about their thoughts and hopes for the school's technology instruction and integration, now it is time to hear what you have to say!

Please take some time to fill out the form below to help us most accurately plan for the future of technology at CCS.  Your responses are both important and appreciated.

~The Education Committee

First some basic information:

Your name:

Grade(s) you teach:

Subject(s) you teach:

If you were to rate your comfort level with
technology how would you rate yourself?

This is me:

How much do you currently integrate technology into your lessons?  (This would include having students go to the computer lab to use computers or using PowerPoint or other technologies yourself.)

In which of the following ways is computer technology used in your classes?

            Research

            Review

            Independent work

            Enrichment or acceleration

            Extra practice

            Activities/centers/educational games

            Assignments

Now please tell us more about how you are currently integrating technology in your classes.  Tell us as much as you can, giving specific examples.

Do technology and the internet serve as a resource for you?  How do you use it to plan lessons and activities for  your students or to inform yourself?  Are there web resources connected to your text that you find helpful to you? Are there websites that you go to all the time for support and information? Be as specific as possible.

How would you rate the computer technology support here at CCS?

Now some questions that require your opinion:

In which of the following ways would you like to see computer technology used (or used more) in your classes?

            Research

            Review

            Independent work

            Enrichment or acceleration

            Extra practice

            Activities/centers/educational games

            Assignments

9-12          Two one-hour periods each week for one quarter for students who choose to take PowerPoint elective or Web Design elective

11-12        Three 41-minute periods each week for students who choose to take Computer Applications course, focusing on advanced use of Front Page, PowerPoint, and Excel

Do you feel that students graduating from CCS are prepared for the computer technology they will find in college and the job market?

What additional programs/instruction/opportunities do you think should be included in the school’s computer technology curriculum and at what grade levels?

What do you like about the current computer technology program?

If you had more access to computers, how would you use them?

What changes would you like to see in our technology program?  Do you have any ideas about how additional technology resources could be integrated into the curriculum you teach?

Would you like to have more instruction for yourself in computer use, software, web design, internet resources, or anything else?
