Conestoga Christian School

Elementary School at CCS

It is never to early to start a Christian education.  The elementary years are foundational in establishing the biblical world view that Christian education provides.  Elementary school at CCS is life-building and fun! A school-wide Bible memory program starts at the elementary level with age-appropriate passages assignedElementary students jump at the chance to learn at CCS to each quarter of the school year.  All students in grades K through 5 enjoy class devotions, regular chapel programs, and the opportunity to be involved in service projects.  The kindergarten year ends with a special program showcasing what our youngest students have learned.

Elementary students experience a comprehensive literacy program with the integration of language arts including  phonics, guided reading, and literature circles.  Our elementary teachers emphasize hands-on projects and classroom presentations, and expand students' horizons with off-campus trips and other special events.  We look for ways to encourage multi-age interaction and cooperative class experiences.

Academic subjects are complemented by specific instruction in art, music, and physical education. Fourth and fifth grade students receive instruction in computer and also enjoy presenting a musical or concert each year as our elementary choir.  Opportunities for parent involvement are available in a variety of areas, and we love it when parents join in.
