Service Opportunities

High School Service DayInvolving our students in service to their community is an important component of education at CCS.  Jesus often taught his disciples about reaching out to others.  It is a natural outpouring of appreciation for all that God has done for us.

Elementary students are regularly involved in raising funds for a missionary, particularly focusing on a specific tangible need that the missionary may have.

Middle school students may fulfill their Christian Growth, Service and Outreach requirement by being involved in helping others by making a comforter for the homeless or needy, helping at the Reuzit shop across the street from the school, assisting in elementary classrooms, or even serving here at CCS by doing on campus projects.

High school students have an annual service day in which they reach out to the community, meeting a variety of needs.  They may also be involved in mission opportunities both domestic and international. In the past we have sent out high school mission teams to Guatemala and to the desperately poor regions of Appalachia.

In a recent survey of CCS students, one student commented on the reason for being involved in service opportunities stating, "Because they are a way to give back to others what they lost or what they never had. It is also a way to show the love of God to the world. He died for us and we can give up some of our own time and abilities to His work."
